The Ash Clone Technique is very similar to other cloning techniques such as the Shadow Clone Technique, or the Water Clone Technique. However, the exact replicas of the user which it creates are formed from ash itself, as the name of the technique implies. Similarly to the Shadow Clone Technique, it evenly distributes the user's chakra amongst the clones and makes it more difficult to tell which is the original, and they may be used to perform physical tasks on their own. Upon taking damage, smoke will begin to escape from a clone's wound. They are slightly more durable than most types of clones, and may live on for several (sometimes crucial) seconds before disintegrating if attacked. Each of the clones are rigged so that the user may direct them to violently burst into flames at will.

Trivia

  • Similarly to the Shadow Clone Technique, the ash clones may transfer any of their experience to the user when dispersed. This makes the technique useful for spying, and especially training purposes.
  • The clones are noticeably warm to the touch, much more than the user's own body heat.
