A special type of Chakra which has the effect of reflecting almost all foreign chakra signatures it comes into contact with. This prevents it from being absorbed/eaten, sealed, or forcibly broken down once created. Thought to be a specific ratio of Yin–Yang Release, its properties are manipulated by those of the Uematsu Shrine Maiden Lineage. Able to be mixed into most techniques through special means, those jutsu infused with Bunkatsu will resist being absorbed, only losing a fraction of their strength (instead of being completely consumed) or outright ignore the attempt depending on the power of the Kyūin/Fūin Jutsu in question.
- The only known methods to completely ignore Bunkatsu are the Blocking Technique Absorption Seal, Truth-Seeking Ball, or use of the Samehada.
- Elemental Jutsu infused with this special type of chakra tend to take longer to be overpowered by opposing elements due to the reflective nature.
- It is rumored pure Bunkatsu chakra based techniques can completely deflect/cut through most other chakra based jutsu.
