In order to enter the boundary created by the Five Seals Barrier without dispelling the technique, a technique technique to bypass the secured venue is used. It grants them passage into the location, while keeping the barrier intact.
Yūmei Kokūzō's Version
This allows bearers of his seal to enter the Hokage Residence through alternative means other than the summit-bound entrance. When used, a door-shaped portion of the tower becomes intangible and accessible through. Note though that this would case the Amenominakanushi mist to flood out, making entry by unauthorised individuals near-impossible without suffering some variety of side effects.
