Heavenly wings is a technique derived from the Shikotsumyaku Kekkei Genkai, though it’s appearance is somewhat contradictory to it’s origin. This simple, yet versatile application of bone manipulation allows the Otsutsuki to sprout giant Hawk-like wings to serve a variety of purposes.The first is the ability to shoot these feather like projectiles, but as he sheds more feathers, his wings gradually shrink, impairing his ability to fly with them. Rusaku is also able to telekinetically control the movement of each feather individually, allowing for versatile applications for both offense and defense. These bone feathers are also shown to be considerably strong, capable of carrying medium-sized objects such as rocks or human beings individually, or grouping together in clumps to carry something heavier.
If the need arose, Rusaku could also pluck feathers from the wings by hand, and use them as swords sharp enough to cut through steel.
Upon crafting this technique, Rusaku opted to have a pair of wings sprouted on his body at all times, allowing him to have a number of formula already inscribed onto the feathers for any sudden battles. Otherwise he would need to mark them himself on the fly.
