Hello, I'm coming to you to sk about a strange development on my character page. In the infobox where all the known info was put down it seems that somebody added two people to it under "parents". I had no knowledge of this nor does there seem to be any indication of when the information was added. I'm not complaining, just curious as to why there seems to be no trace of who accessed my page and added the two to the infobox and why I didn't get any notifications of any edits. The two in question are "Nightmare" and "Himiko" so it may have been the authors of either of those pages.
EDIT: I did not give consent for my character to be added as anybody's family, and was never contacted about this. I cannot seem to delete those two from my infobox and the only person I could see having changed it would be "NightmareofSL" after looking through the changes history. He won't answer my post on his page so I would appreciate it if someone could contact him about this as it severely impacts the character I was trying to create.
I created the article as a way to at least have some explaination for my characters weapon on SL (CoreShikaru), but I never actually added it to the claimed items list yet. I just want to make it official that I own it and, soon, Naruto Uzumaki will have ownership of it as well. Just wanted to add the weapon and myself and Naruto as the owners, if it isn't any trouble of course.
Hello. Given that this item is a fanon item, it cannot be placed in the Claimed List for rule number one states that only canon-derived items can be listed there. The fact that it is your original item, it is already a clear statement that only you can claim it and have the right to distribute it if you wish.
Per the owner of the original images, even though they were slightly altered by me and thus not the original work....I will oblige their request and thus I must ask if you can delete the following images please:
Hey, Shades Of Mundane. When I was going to create my "Hanako Uzumaki" page after successfully making the Zefi Mankai one, I noticed that the page had been deleted on December 2015. As ZefiMankai from Deviantart, I've been receiving lots of people who've stolen my art, so this is NO surprise! BTW, I'm the same ZefiMankai who created the Zefi Mankai character page. I just forgot the password for that account, lol.
We usually do housekeeping of the wiki to make sure it clean of any pages that are not in any way connected/existing in our main site, Shinobi Legends. This wiki is for characters that are used in leveling/roleplay there, so we usually tell people who make profiles here to make an account in SL as well or we remove their pages (if they do not join) since this is the purpose of this wiki.
Any art that is used here is protected by Fair Use Policy and we do not profit from using any of the art, as specified in the front page. The images used are merely representations of the character being played by the person and are not being claimed, nothing more. However, if the artist requests that they be taken down, they can send a message to the person who is using said image to remove it. If they do not respond, we, the admins, can do it if they did not do so themselves.
Hey. I saw you noticed the issue with a user removing stolen art off another user's page. They should not have taken matters into their own hands for something like this, even if it's for a good reason.
I was looking around the different characters on this site, and a few seem to use images of various characters from existing anime/manga/etc. I saw that your front page mentions any art is credited and is only used to represent the person's character. However, I didn't see any references on the pages I checked to show that.
I only say this to bring it to your attention. On the Naruto OC Wiki, we don't allow any art that's from another franchise (or another user's art), just to make things easier to maintain. I have no say on the specific guidelines for other wiki sites, so I leave this issue to you to deal with how you see fit. If use of credited art is fine, then the best course of action seems to be to enforce the crediting of art used, instead of removing the art entirely.
Hi there. Yes, recently, this wiki's been bombarded with people who speak of copyright and all that stuff. While we do admit that some images are from artists from DA, etc., I strongly believe that people should properly credit them and put them up in their pages. I have recently made an announcement requiring everyone to do this on their pages. I am also coordinating with the admins of the main site (Shinobi Legends) so it can be cascaded to the members in case they didn't see this notice.
We pretty much allow people to use anything as long as it is appropriate and won't violate any rules (be it on this wiki or anywhere else), though it seems that this rule is being set aside so reinforcing it with the proper punishment will have people thinking twice.
Again, I thank you for pointing this out and for your help. My apologies if this caused any inconvenience on your part.
