The Six Desert Scorpions (守護忍十二士, Matsu Sabaku Sasori) is a group comprised of six elite individuals who are selected to undertake dangerous, and often time top secret, missions for the Kazekage. The members are identified by the seal of a Desert Scorpion which is discreetly placed somewhere upon their body during initiation. The specific uses of this seal are yet to be discovered. As the Sasori is a highly secret operation, the existence of this group is not known by many save for the Kazekage and a few select others.

Rankings
Although there is no distinct hierarchy within the group, the Sasori are titled after six various colors: Kuroi Sasori (Black Scorpion), Murasaki Sasori (Purple Scorpion), Shiruba Sasori (Silver Scorpion), Aka Sasori (Red Scorpion), Kasshoku Sasori (Brown Scorpion), and Midoriiro Sasori (Green Scorpion).
Membership
Current membership of the Sasori are the following shinobi in relation to the order of their respective color: Renji Nakara, Chusaki, Zojin Tanaka, Saki Maeda, Anika, and Silver Moonfire.
