The Nanatsusaya no Tachi is a two-handed, golden greatsword with a green jewel embedded in the hilt that boasts a magnificence and enormity possible only for weapons tended to by inhuman hands. It is daeva-crafted, awarded to Avalon after completing his training in the Land of Demons. Chakra can be stored within the jewel to be released later on to either enhance the physical properties of the sword in order to increase the damage output, its durability, or both simultaneously, and/or replenish his chakra reserves as well as enhance ninjutsu used in conjunction to the sword. However, this is only its untransformed state.

When senjutsu chakra is stored into the jewel, the sword transforms into a truly grotesque weapon, evidently the masterwork of the most skilled daeva blacksmiths. It is incredibly heavy, and hence can only be properly wielded when Avalon is in Sage Mode, where he's able to swing it as if it were a short, wooden sword. Given its incredible weight and size, one swing can produce a phenomenal, acute force of slicing all in its path. It is easily one of the most powerful physical weapons in existence, stated to be capable of slicing through all tangible techniques, no matter the nature nor necessarily structure, contesting even the ethereal defenses of Susanoo, and even senjutsu chakra, which can also be indiscriminately cleaved through.

Attached to the hilt's chain is an axe, which behaves more as a passive ward against intangible abilities such as illusions and the manipulation of souls, upon entering an aggressive state expending chakra out of the sword's jewel to sustain Avalon's sanity and/or cancel any enchantments possibly placed upon him at an earlier stage in time, as well as repel spirits as if it were some sort of spiritual barrier. When not active, the axe behaves as nothing more than an accessory, the blade boasting the most killing potential.

The sword's name's origin stems from the more absurd ability - of transforming into a multi-headed cannon (even though it doesn't possess exactly seven cannon heads). The base ammunition required is solely senjutsu chakra, although should Avalon will it, he can infuse the beams, fairly thin in size, with a specific affinity, though not necessarily needing to be of the same element. Although this is rarely ever necessary, the beams each posing a greater threat than the Asura Path's Flaming Arrow Missiles technique, although not quite as much as its Chakra Explosion technique. These beams can be telepathically coordinated by Avalon, similar to various Storm Release techniques (like guided missiles) so long as he maintains physical hold of the hilt, easily able to change their targets while in mid-flight and when about to land. If all of the beams where to be focused upon a sole position however, the resulting explosion (and overall damage output) would surpass that of the Asura Path's greatest technique.
