Nine Lives is a Kenjutsu technique comprised of nine instantaneous slashes augmented to kill a single opponent following its execution. It is a skill capable of adapting and changing how it appears depending on the target and circumstances of its use, such as using it with a bow, a large sword, a shield, or other weapons, that discharges nine dragon-like homing lasers at the enemy. The skill can be called a style of its own that would be best suited for a sword-user.
When Koyoichi Ayime uses this technique he targets and slashes the upper arm, collarbone, windpipe, temple, diaphragm, rib, testicles, and thighs simultaneously where he 'kills' his opponent a total of nine times (exaggerated) in an instant. Depending on the circumstances Koyoichi may need to be under the effects of Innate Time Control or Lightning Release Armour to properly utilize this technique.
