Childhood and Pre-Teen years[]
Shigi, and his twin brother Shiki, were born into the Uchiha clan in the outskirts of Konohagakure. They were born as prodigies but only Shiki would take that title to heart. Shigi would instead thrive to best his brother, going so far as to seek out a manslayer. This unknown dishonored samurai would teach him several different styles of swordplay, though he would later utilize that swordplay with a gift from his sensei. Shortly after learning from the Samurai, he would depart, leaving the man's blade driven downward through the jugular joint at the base of the man's neck, leaving only several millimeters to the left of the man's spine. Only a young child of nine after his training, he would look for an academy, but end up finding his second and current Sensei. He would train with Zhao for a full decade, the man being only several years his senior. He would learn to utilize the Hell Stab technique from the man, mastering it to its fourth state of the One Finger Nukite during their first year. After his first year of training, he would learn that the man he called Sensei, was actually that of an Uzumaki, putting the two at one another's throats. Though at first they would kill one another, Shigi learned that Zhao had departed his clan due to finding out that he was mostly Uchihan, like Shigi himself.
During the third and fourth year, the two would work on furthering Shigi's control over his Sharingan, advancing it to the Mangekyō state. Though the training would end for nearly a month, as Zhao would offer to attempt to make Shigi's Mangekyō even more advanced, by bonding his eyes with that of a pair Zhao already possessed. Though it failed, after the month was up, the now nearly blind Shigi, would send word to his twin brother, Shiki, requesting he meet in the outskirts of Konoha, where they once called home. Having not seen his twin in nearly half a decade, Shigi would see him and scoff at the man requiring glasses due to studying endlessly in the libraries of Konoha. He would make his brother an offer that carried the weight of his sensei's choice. His brother agreed to trade his own Mangekyō to his brother, resulting in Zhao offering the young man a pair of Byakugan he had recently harvested in their place. With two medically trained shinobi, Zhao and his friend and then stepbrother Keita, they would transplant the two pairs of eyes, helping the twins to recover. Nearly two weeks after the transplant, the twins would fully recover, Shigi now possessing the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, and his twin Shiki, now possessing the Byakugan.
